1996

Where it all began

Founded as Network Strata Services in the Sutherland region, we managed 118 lots in our first year including Ocean Ave, Cronulla. Our focus on professional service and innovation laid the foundations for long-term growth. From five original team members, today we serve communities across NSW.

2005

A new headquarters

We relocated our headquarters to Railway Parade, Carlton – marking our transition from a boutique operator into a growing business. This move enabled expanded operations and set the stage for regional growth. The office became the anchor point for our values of innovation and service.

2011

Expanding horizons

We opened our Wollongong office and launched our proprietary accounting system – giving clients transparency and control over strata finances. That year represented a shift from local to regional leadership. Our technology investment became a service differentiator.

2016

Recognising future leaders

Our in-house talent shone when Andrew Tunks won the SCA CHU Young Strata Manager of the Year award and later joined our senior leadership team. This highlights our commitment to developing industry expertise from within. For us, great service begins with great people.

2017

Leadership at industry level

Our Managing Director Stephen Brell was elected to the Boards of the strata industry association, reinforcing Netstrata’s voice in national policy. This external leadership role brought credibility to our internal promise of excellence. We became a partner, not just a manager.

2019

A breakout year

We refreshed our brand identity, won Strata Management Business of the Year and began major community sponsorships, including Netstrata Jubilee Stadium and Hope for Cambodian Children. This year symbolised our purpose-beyond-profit and elevated service profile.

2020

Award-winning nationwide

We secured the Strata Community Australasia Award for Strata Management Business of the Year, broad recognition of our NSW-wide leadership. Our systems, culture and client focus came into full view. It underscored our mission to exceed expectations.

2021

25 years strong

Celebrating our 25th anniversary, we also collected multiple awards: Business, Senior Manager and Rising Star. A quarter-century of growth, innovation and trust in service. We used the milestone to recommit to the future of strata living.

2022

Innovation meets engagement

We repeated as SCA Australasia winners and introduced the Netstrata Space mobile app, giving clients access to building data and reports 24/7. This year merged tech-investment with service excellence. We built the platform for next-gen community interaction.

2025

The next chapter

We moved into our new purpose-built headquarters at 280 Railway Parade, Carlton – a space made for collaboration, growth and the future of strata. This reflects our evolution into a modern, forward-facing organisation. The next decade starts here.

From then, to now

From humble beginnings, a phenomenal business arises.

Established with a team of five by Ted Middleton in 1996, today a team of 100+ fully qualified and dedicated team members upholds each core value of Netstrata’s vision and delivers innovative and client-focused services without compromise.

We are the largest organically grown strata management business in NSW with offices in Carlton, Sydney CBD and Wollongong CBD.

In the early years, our success was due to implementing a one-of-its-kind strata software, specifically designed by Netstrata, to deliver comprehensive and transparent accounting reports to our clients. Additionally, our team developed their own unique way of delivering service to each client, building relationships with suppliers, and establishing a close network of support. This saw Netstrata grow organically through referrals and retention of clients, which we still have in place right up until today.

Not only have we developed strong and long-lasting relationships with our clients and stakeholders, our success is also based on our culture. We have developed a fun and vibrant culture that supports the high-stress environment that comes with strata management. This is evident in many long-standing Netstrata staff members, with our Managing Director celebrating 25 years in 2022!

Evolution of a logo

As we grew, we evolved. As we evolved, our logo evolved with us.

Updating our logo over the years reflected fundamental changes behind Netstrata’s doors, and our visual identity was just as important as delivering service to our clients.

The history of our brand remains vitally important to us. We are still evolving; our team is constantly growing with leaders who implement industry-changing innovations. We look forward to seeing how the Netstrata brand evolves over the next decade.
